married by Father Nash at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Thorp, in Butternuts, Otsego County, N. Y. He resided a few years at Exeter, N. Y., and removed from there to Utica, N. Y., where he died Feb. 15, 1852. His widow Eunice also died in Utica Sept. 25, 1857.

The children of David Lord7 and Eunice (Skidmore) Perkins were:

DAVID8, born Jan. 8, 1816, at Exeter, N. Y.; married, May 16, 1848, Althea, daughter of Capt. Ruluff Root of West Schuyler, N. Y.; died June 20, 1877.
JOHN WILLIAM8, born Oct. 19, 1817, at Exeter, N. Y.; died March, 1818.
MARY WHITE8, born Oct. 22, 1819; married Henry Fowler, July 14, 1847.
LUCIA RUGGLES8, born March 3, 1822; died June 2, 1845.
JOHN HENRY HOBART8, born Dec. 1, 1823; married, Feb. 17, 1853, Emma Tindall; died Jan. 1, 1858.
HANNAH6, born Aug. 7, 1751; died March 9, 1752.
HANNAH6, born March 21, 1753; unmarried Aug. 20, 1776.
SETH6, born Sept. 18, 1754; was a physician; died in 1777, unmarried An inventory of his estate was taken June 18 and Dec 5, 1777; it included wearing apparel £34 10s. 6d.; a watch £9; instruments for tooth drawing, £1; medical and other books, £28 18s.; cash, £42 11s. 5d., etc. The total amount was £135 10s. 3d.
LYDIA6, born Aug. 26, 1756; unmarried Aug. 20, 1776.
RUTH6, born July 10, 1760; not mentioned in her brother Abijah's will Aug. 20, 1776; probably died young.

Abraham5 Perkins was the son of Abraham4 (Isaac3, Quartermaster John2, John1 Perkins, Senior, of Ipswich, Mass.) was born in Ipswich in 1708, and evidently soon followed his brother James and his sisters Hannah and Elizabeth to Lyme, as he was admitted freeman there in 1741, having previously married, February 28, 1739, Elizabeth Ely.

His first purchase of land in Lyme was July 4, 1741, and September 9, 1771, he deeded land to his son Abraham.

A genealogical paper left by Gaius Perkins of South Woodstock, Vt., who died in 1870 at the age of 91, contained the following information: "My grandfather was Abraham Perkins. He went from Ipswich in the Bay State, to Lyme, Conn., where he married Elizabeth Ely."
