October 28, 1783, he was of New Haven, when he bought of Abraham Davenport of Stamford, Fairfield County, 4½ acres in seventh division, parish of Bethany, laid out to Mrs. Davenport, and lying between lots laid out to Jas. Lines, Jr., and David Atwater. December 15, 1783, for £50, he sold to Jesse Beecher 16 acres in Bethany parish, bounded east and west on the highway, north on heirs of David Beecher, and south on Hannah Beecher. It is quite probable he lived for a while at least in the town of Bethany, and it is said by some very old persons who knew the family that he had resided subsequently in Woodbridge. In the Census of 1790, the family of Archibald Perkins of Woodbridge consisted of one male 16 and upwards, three under 16, and three females. He married, first, Huldah Woodin, who was born about 1763 and died January 28, 1797. He married, second, Sarah French, widow of Nathan Nettleton, Jr. She was born about 1766 and died September 27, 1846. No settlement of his estate appears on record, but he died March 4, 1842.
