DESCENDANTS OF EDWARD PERKINS


Fifth Generation



November 14, 1776, while of New Haven, he bought of his brother Edward fourteen acres in the parish of Bethany.

According to the U. S. Census of 1790, the family of Ebenezer Perkins of Bethlehem, Litchfield County, then consisted of one male 16 and upwards, two males under 16, and three females.

April 21, 1812, after his removal to Bethlehem, we find on the Washington deeds that he and his wife Mercy sell to Calvin Bishop of Woodbury eleven acres and forty-five rods in Washington which was set off to said Mercy from the estate of her Hon'd father, Joseph Stilson, bounded north on Amos Allen and the highway, east on the highway, south on heirs of Rebecca Bishop, and west on Ameryllis Tole. The same day he sold to Sam'l Blois of Bethlehem 4¾ acres in the same place, bounded south on Enice Throop, east on Amos Allen, north on Eli and Josiah Stilson, west on Josiah Stilson and the highway. Also 1¼ acres in Washington; also one-half the dwelling, late residence of Joseph Stilson, dec'd.

July 3, 1812, he bought of Timothy J. Cowles and wife Sarah, of Claremont, N. Hampshire, for $295.00, 5½ acres and 20 rods land in Bethlehem, bounded north on Josiah Stilson, dec'd; east on Amos Allen; south on land set off to Eunice Throop from the estate of said Joseph Stilson; and west on the highway, with one-half the dwelling house. Also 1¼ acres in Washington, bounded north on Josiah Stilson, east on Daniel Littleton, south on Eunice Throop, and west on Daniel Warner.

He died September 7, 1836.

The children of (150) Ebenezer5 and Mercy (Stilson) Perkins were:

259 EBENEZER PECK6, born April 13, 1776, and died Feb. 14, 1794, in New Haven.
260 MERCY LENA6, born June 25, 1778, in New Haven; married French.
