died Dec. 6, 1828. He was a physician, and settled in Bridgewater, Vt.

The children of Benjamin6 and Demis (Jones) Perkins were:

DEMIS HARRIET7, born Jan. 16, 1786.
FANNY7, born Aug. 24, 1790; died March 21, 1817.
ELIZA7, born March 17, 1795; died Sept. 25, 1847.
ISAAC7, born April 23, 1797.
MELVIN7, born July 28, 1799; married Conant.
ABIGAIL6, born March 27, 1764; died Aug. 18, 1764.




In the "Ely Burying Yard" there are gravestones bearing the following inscriptions:

"In memory of Dea Abraham Perkins, who departed this life May 10, A. D., 1786, in the 73d year of his age."

"Here lies interred the body of Mrs. Elizabeth Perkins, the wife of Mr. Abraham Perkins. She died February 21, 1759, in the 41st year of her age."

"Abraham Perkins died April 15, 1824, aged 78 years."

"In memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Perkins, wife of Mr. Abraham Perkins, who died May 2, 1791, in the 37th year of her age."

"Anna, wife of Abraham Perkins, died May 3, 1823, aged 75 years."

"In memory of Hannah, wife of Abraham E. Perkins, who died May 3d, 1813, aged 24."

"Lottie A., daughter of Abraham E. and Charlotte L. Perkins, died December 29, 1863, aged 21."

"Seth B. Perkins died April 8, 1816, aged 15 months and 27 days, son of Abraham E. and Mary Perkins."

"Francis W., son of Abraham E. and Mary Perkins, died April 14, 1846, aged 12 years."

NOTE--In the Probate Court, New London, are the following:

Mary Perkins of Lyme, Will, 1782, and Inv., 1782.

William Perkins of New London, Inv., 1784.
