OTHER CONNECTICUT PERKINS FAMILIES



Henry6 Perkins, son of Elisha5 [Joseph4, Joseph3, Jacob2, John1 Perkins, senior, of Ipswich, Mass.], married, first, Mary Shaw Woodbridge, who was born in 1791 and died in 1818; second, March 19, 1820, Abby B. Noyes.

He settled in the northern part of Lyme, in that section which was set off to Salem, and in the Salem burying ground there are gravestones bearing the following inscriptions:

"Henry Perkins, Esq., died Dec. 28, 1850, aged 70."

"Sacred to the memory of Mary Shaw Perkins, wife of Henry Perkins, Esq., died 12th April, 1818, aged 27 years."

"Thomas N., son of Henry and Abbey B. Perkins, died Nov. 15, 1823, aged 17 months."

"Henry W., son of Henry and Abbey B. Perkins, died Nov. 23d, 1828, aged 3 years."

"Henry R., son of Henry and Abbey B. Perkins, died April 9, 1839, aged 11 years."

"John M., son of Henry and Abbey B. Perkins, died July 31, 1847, aged 14 years."

The only child of Henry6 and Mary Shaw (Woodbridge) Perkins was:

SARAH DOUGLASS,7 born Dec. 2, 1812; married Levi H. Goddard.

The children of Henry6 and Abby B. (Noyes) Perkins were:
