land in Wash'n, the first being an equal half of the Castle lot, bounded east on the highway, north on Titus, west on Brinsmead, south on Perkins, containing five acres. The second piece of like amount, bounded north and west on the highway, south on land set off as dower to Mary Clark, widow of Samuel Clark, bounded on said dower, and the house and lot. December 3, 1805, Mary Perkins bought of Elias Clark ten acres bounded east on the highway, south on Woodruff, west on New Milford line and on Perkins. According to the U. S. Census of 1790, the family of Elijah Perkins of Southbury, Litchfield County, consisted of one male 16 years and upwards, three males under 16, and two females.

June 21, 1802, the date of his first deed on Washington records, he bought of John Smith 2nd., for $2,000.00, sixty-five acres with a dwelling house and barn, and one-seventh part of a cider mill thereon, reserving the ground on which the school-house stands according to the lease thereof on the records of said Washington, given by said Smith to said district; said land bounded north on Clark, Brinsmade and Kinnee, west on Brinsmade, New Milford line and Woodruff, south on Hanford, the highway and Kinnee, and east on the highway, Woodruff and Kinnee.

December 3, 1805, he and wife Mary (second wife), for £50, sold to Daniel Clark of Washington, six acres land in Milford, bounded east and west on Bard's land, north and south on Newton and Daniel Clark.

April 13, 1805, for $340.00, he bought of Moses Titus 21 acres 15 rods bounded north on said Perkins, west on New Milford line, south and east by the highway and Woodruff.

February 3, 1812, for £250, he sold to Anson Perkins (his son) ten acres lying near Elijah Woodruff's shoemaking shop, bounded north on said Elijah, west on New Milford line, south on Mary Perkins, and east on the highway and said Woodruff.
