January 10, 1814, for $282.00, he deeded from Anson Perkins ten acres in Washington, "lying near Elijah Woodruff's shoemaking shop, bounded north on said Elijah; west on New Milford line; south on Mary Perkins; east on the highway and said Woodruff."

March 17, 1815, he bought of Thomas Newton Clark twenty acres bounded north on Clark, west on McMahon, south on said Perkins, east on the highway, it being the same estate mortgaged to said Clark March 25, 1811.

March 14, 1816, he deeds to Elijah and Truman Woodruff twenty rods of land lying a little east of their cooper's shop, bounded south on the highway, east and north on said Perkins, and west on Woodruff.

April 28, 1818, he conveys to Jehiel Perkins five acres, "it being the northwest corner lot of my farm," bounded north on Newton Clark; west on William Fenn; south and east on me.

May 6, 1836, Elijah Perkins deeds to Samuel C. Perkins twelve acres beginning from the southwest corner of my garden, bounded north on Kinney and Clark; east on Kinney and the highway; south on the highway; west on first mentioned line.

September 15, 1836, Elijah Perkins deeds to Jehiel Perkins of Auburn, Cayuga County, N. Y., five acres in Washington, lying on Church Hill, it being the lot of land on the northwest corner of my farm, bounded west and north on Thos. N. Cole, east and south on me.

He died November 22, 1843, aged 87 years, 4 months and 5 days.

The following will of Elijah Perkins is copied verbatim from the records at Washington, Ct.:

"At a Court of Probate held at Washington, within and for the District of Washington, on the 11th day of December, A. D., 1842. Present, Ithiel Hickox, Judge.

"Samuel C. Perkins appeared in Court and presented the will of Elijah Perkins, late of Washington, deceased,
