6 | JOHN3 PERKINS, son of (2) John2 [(1) Edward1], was born in New Haven June 3, 1678, and died about October, 1749. He was a farmer. May 21, 1701, he exchanged land with John Alling. April 1, 1723, while he was yet called "Junior," he bought land of Stephen Smith, a weaver, of Hadam. January 5, 1729-30, an agreement was made between him on the one part and his brothers Stephen, Peter, Nathan and Aaron on the other part, concerning eight acres of tillage land and three acres of meadow that was formerly a portion of their father John's estate, and to whom, the said brothers, John conveys his proportional part. February 19, 1739-40, he and his second wife Elizabeth deeded land to their son John, Jr. He married first, May 15, 1701, Sarah Warner, who was born, and died March 11, 1706.
