Karen and I would like to thank Bill Peck for all the work he has put in restoring the Polishville Cemetery grounds, he has done an excellent job. It is a very pleasant place to visit. I spent most of one day going through the cemetery and taking these pictures.
The museum that is attached to the Community Center has a lot of local history of the Polishville Church and Cemetery. There are a lot of pictures, newspaper articles, and obituaries in photo albums to look at. There are also a few items that still exist from the St. Mary's Church that are on exhibit.
The Polishville Association and Community Center is a very active center. The first day we were there they had a lunch and a dance with a live band for some people from a nearby nursing home. I spent most of my time in the museum entering data into my computer but could hear the band and all the people having a good time.
We are looking forward to another visit to the Polishville area and plan to stay longer as this first trip was way too short.
