61 | ICHABOD4 PERKINS, son of (8) Peter3 [(2) John2, (1) Edward1], was born in New Haven February 26, 1715-16; married October 9, 1741, Sarah, daughter of John Ford. March 10, 1735-6, he bought of Josiah Thomas for £8, 4½ acres in fifth division, bounded by Stephen Perkins. April 22, 1783, his widow Sarah sold to Jas. Howell for £80 all her right in a house and homestead in New Haven, bounded on the new street, the highway, Col. Leverett Hubbard, Dea. David Austin and the heirs of Timo. Howell. He died Jan. 15, 1741-2, and his widow after April 22, 1783. The only matter of probate concerning his estate is the following: "We, Samuel and Peter Perkins, Isaac Sperry and wife Hannah, Daniel Sanford and wife Dinah, Samuel Johnson, Jr., and wife Mabel, all of New Haven, are ye only brothers and sisters of Ichabod Perkins, among whom the estate of said deceased should be distributed:-- and having agreed with his widow for her right of dower, we make the following division of said estate * * *" | ||||||||||||
