in the distribution of his estate no part thereof was set to my brother Silas, but his real estate was equally divided between me and my brother Elijah and sister Hannah Thompson, the then wife of Thaddeus Thompson, and, whereas I have been at considerable expense in boarding, clothing and taking care of said Silas, and he now is and has been incapable of taking care of himself; and my will furthermore now is that one-fourth of the real estate to be in the settlement of my estate set to Silas and that after deducting from said fourth part such sum or sums as may seem reasonable and just for my expense of boarding and clothing and taking care of said Silas be and remain to him, said Silas, and sold; the avails thereof to be applied to his maintenance and support."
